“As a company, we reiterate our zero-tolerance stance against any form of violence. Our ongoing commitment to respect, integrity and the values we promote within and outside of our band remains steadfast,” read the statement published on the group’s social media platforms on Thursday (March 5).

After Banda Los Recoditos announced its decision, González responded to the accusations, which he described as “false information.”

“I am already working on addressing this matter in which I have been involved and which, based on precedent, will need to be considered by the competent authorities in whom I trust,” he said in a video shared on his Instagram account. “I am convinced that all the false information being said about me will be clarified in due time.”

Redondo, with whom the singer has had an on-and-off relationship for more than a decade, posted two TikToks in recent days that have since gone viral. In the first video, she shows what appears to be bruises on her face. In the second clip, she says she takes “psychiatric medication due to so many problems that have occurred over the past 12 years with this person.”

Redondo — who, like González, lives in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, in Mexico — said in one of the videos she has not filed a formal complaint with authorities. Billboard Español has reached out to the Sinaloa Attorney General’s Office, which said that as of 12:30 p.m. PT Friday (March 6), no complaint of injury had been received by the Mazatlán Public Prosecutor’s Office under the name of Fernanda Redondo. Billboard Español has also reached out to Redondo for comment.

A spokesperson for Banda Los Recoditos’ office told Billboard Español on Friday that “since this is a personal matter, [González] will handle it outside of the band.”

The spokesperson added: “He is already working with his lawyers on the case. We believe that the authorities are the only ones who can decide if he is guilty or not.”

Currently on tour in the United States, Banda Los Recoditos — a Sinaloan musical group with 37 years of experience — will continue with its performances this weekend with their other vocalist, Santos de Jesús Pérez “JeyPi.”

Throughout its history, the band has launched the careers of renowned singers such as Pancho Barraza and Luis Ángel “El Flaco,” both current stars of the regional Mexican music scene. In June 2025, the group reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Airplay chart for the ninth time with the song “Una Peda Menos.” Other hits on the chart include “Ando Bien Pedo,” “Mi Último Deseo” and “Hasta Que Salga El Sol.”
