Lizzo may have admitted she tried Ozempic, but don’t get it twisted… she’s not about to let y’all give that shot all the credit for her amazing glow-up.

In a recent Instagram post, the “Truth Hurts” singer made it crystal clear that her transformation came from putting in serious work at the gym, maintaining a clean diet, and staying consistent with body care — not from weight-loss meds. Under a before-and-after photo, she kept it all the way real:

“THIS IS A @flavialanini APPRECIATION POST. The photo on the left is my first time getting lymphatic massage from Flavia, and the right is the most recent! In light of all these magazines and blogs wanting me to be on ozempic soooo bad— here’s the truth! I work my ass off, training 3x a week, daily sauna & cardio, adding animal protein back into my diet, hiring a chef who helps me meal prep and keeps track of what I put into my body in a calorie deficit, cutting out sugary Starbucks & full fat sodas & potato chips… I quit drinking for the longest… (but I’m drinking again cus I earned it!)…”

And that wasn’t all. Sis kept going:

“I play pickleball and hike and walk on the beach and move my body and dance and drink water. I detox! Once a month! I also get holistic body work done, wood therapy, and lymphatic massage. I’m so happy and proud of what I’ve done and no one can take that away from me.”

PERIOD, Lizzo!

Yes, She Tried Ozempic — But That’s Not What Got Her Snatched

Let’s keep it a buck — Lizzo did admit to using Ozempic at one point. But it wasn’t some magic fix for her, and she made that very clear during a sit-down on Trisha Paytas’ “Just Trish” podcast.

“I tried everything,” Lizzo told the host. “Ozempic works because you eat less food, yeah? So if you eat right, it makes you feel full. But if you can just do that on your own and get mind over matter, it’s the same thing.”

She explained that while it might help some people, her transformation came when she put her mind and body first — and committed to the process with real consistency and love.

Lizzo’s Message Is Bigger Than The Weight — It’s About Taking Control

She’s not letting gossip blogs or trolls define her story. She’s out here detoxing, doing holistic body work, drinking water, hiking, dancing, and choosing joy over judgment. It’s the kind of glow-up that comes from the inside out — and that’s what makes it powerful.

So next time somebody tries to reduce her journey to a quick fix, remember what she said:

“I worked my a** off.”
