A long-distance bus trip in Brazil ended in tragedy after a young woman fell ill and later died, leaving police to uncover a shocking discovery.
The unidentified passenger was traveling from Foz do Iguaçu to São Paulo when the bus stopped at a restaurant in Paraná. Witnesses said she began to struggle with breathing, prompting the bus crew to call for emergency medical help, the Daily Mail reported.
Emergency Responders Couldn’t Save Her
Paramedics from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) said the woman was awake but experiencing respiratory distress. While receiving on-site treatment, she reportedly suffered an apparent seizure. For 45 minutes, paramedics attempted to revive her, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
26 iPhones Found Glued to Her Body
When police inspected the woman’s body, they discovered 26 iPhones carefully glued to her torso and legs, suggesting a potential smuggling operation.
In addition to the phones, multiple bottles of alcohol were also seized. Authorities noted that no illegal drugs were found.
Paraná Civil Police confirmed in a statement:
“The Paraná Civil Police are investigating the case and awaiting the conclusion of forensic reports to clarify the cause of death.”
