Entertainment mogul 50 Cent is looking to drop his defamation lawsuit against his ex, model and actress Daphne Joy, after she accused him of rape and physical abuse.
As we previously shared in March, Daphne Joy — who shares a 12-year-old son named Sire Jackson with 50 Cent, born Curtis Jackson — accused her ex of physically abusing and raping her. The shocking allegation arrived on March 28, days after the March 25 Homeland Security raids on mogul Diddy’s Los Angeles and Miami mansions, amid an ongoing federal sex and drug trafficking investigation.
Joy has been previously romantically linked to Diddy and was accused of being an alleged sex worker for the mogul in a sexual assault lawsuit filed by one of his producers Rodney Jones, aka Lil Rod. After being accused of being a sex worker, 50 Cent took the opportunity to troll his ex Daphne Joy, and his rival Diddy. However, all of the comedic jabs didn’t sit well with Joy.
Soon, headlines broke revealing 50 Cent filed for sole custody of their son, and hours after that, Daphne Joy broke her silence and took to her Instagram to clear her name of sex worker allegations and to call out 50 Cent for his own alleged dark deeds. Reacting to Jones’ lawsuit, she stated, “I am deeply hurt by the lies in Rodney Jones’ lawsuit. The claim that I am a sex worker is 100% false and character assassination. I am retaining an attorney to explore all legal remedies against both Rodney and his attorney.”
In a second post, Joy condemned her son’s father for joking about the claims and further alleged that he “raped” and “physically abused” her in the past. Addressing 50 Cent as “Curtis James Jackson, Daphne Joy began, “Everything is a joke to you until our safety is compromised, which is happening now. You are wreaking real havoc, frenzy, and chaos onto people’s lives. How would u feel if Sire was the one in handcuffs? For nothing.”
She added, “We moved to New York to give you the opportunity to be a father to your son and you saw him 10 times out of the 2 years that we lived 1 mile away from you. I am tired of upholding and protecting an image to our son that you have never even earned. Let’s put the real focus on your true evil actions of raping me and physically abusing me. You are no longer my oppressor and my God will handle you from this point on. You have permanently damaged the last hope I had for you as a father to preserve our family with these last and final false claims made against me. You have broken our hearts for the last and final time.”
Responding to his ex’s claims, 50 Cent continued to troll her as an alleged sex worker, adding that he’ll see her in family court. In another post, he addressed Daphne Joy’s claim that he’s an absent father and said that when she moved to New York to be closer to him, he denied her a second baby and she allegedly began receiving money from Diddy.
50 wrote, “You moved a mile away in hopes of having another baby with me, but I was busy. So, you moved back and then you started receiving money from Brother Love. Now, here we are, little sex worker.” Joy commented under his post and said, “Delusional.”
Taking to her Instagram Story, Daphne Joy wrote, “It’s funny how people start with you and get mad when you defend yourself. Family court, great! Play catch with your son. Play basketball. Teach him some fatherly things instead of trolling all damn day on IG. He lacks a father figure in his life and needs male guidance. You’re finally catching on. Great idea.”
In July, Daphne Joy deleted her feed post accusing 50 Cent of abuse and rape, with the hopes of settling things and moving forward for the sake of their son. Now, 6 months later, it appears 50 Cent has done the same as TMZ reports that the rapper recently filed new legal documents asking a judge to dismiss his defamation lawsuit against his ex Daphne Joy, without prejudice. The site notes that the judge still has yet to sign off on the request, but 50 has made a complete 180.
