Woman’s Severe Diarrhea Forces United Airlines Flight From Indianapolis to Be Canceled — She Apologizes on TikTok • Hollywood Unlocked

A United Airlines flight from Indianapolis ended up canceled after one passenger’s sudden and severe illness left the plane needing a full deep clean — and now she’s apologizing publicly.

Meghan Reinersten took to TikTok to explain how her extreme bout of diarrhea caused the unexpected disruption, telling her fellow passengers, “If that flight cancellation changed the trajectory of your life in a really negative way, I’m so sorry.” According to the New York Post, Reinersten had been traveling back to the U.S. from Portugal for a film premiere when she began to feel ill. The night before, she says she ate an undercooked burger, which she suspects may have led to food poisoning.

‘More Diarrhea Than Any Human Should Have in Their Life’

Reinersten described the nightmare in vivid detail, saying, “I’m full body sweating, I’m crying, my insides are cramping. For the next 20 minutes, I have more diarrhea than any human should have in their life.”

The situation didn’t stop there — she also began vomiting and eventually called a flight attendant for help. At that point, she was informed that the flight would have to be canceled for a full deep clean.

Reinersten says she was escorted off the aircraft in a wheelchair, and to make matters worse, she later soiled herself again while resting in her hotel bed.

Apology to Fellow Passengers

In her TikTok video, Reinersten made it clear she never intended to ruin anyone’s travel plans and understands the inconvenience caused. “It was one of the worst experiences of my life,” she admitted.

While United Airlines has not issued an official statement on the incident, passengers were rebooked on later flights following the deep cleaning of the aircraft.

Conclusion

Reinersten’s story is a cautionary tale for travelers everywhere: watch what you eat before a long flight — and remember that food poisoning can have serious, and in this case, very public consequences.
