Cassie All Smiles At Dinner In NYC After Diddy Denied Bail, Source Says She Was ‘Hopeful That Justice Would Come, Her Life Was In Danger’

Photos and videos of Cassie are circulating the internet showing her all smiles at dinner in NYC just hours after her ex-boyfriend and alleged abuser Sean “Diddy” Combs was denied bail for a second time in his federal RICO and sex trafficking case.

In November 2023, Cassie, born Casandra Ventura, filed an explosive $30 million lawsuit against her ex Diddy, alleging physical abuse, rape, and sex trafficking. The civil suit was ultimately settled the next day. The lawsuit was then followed up by at least 2 men and 7 additional women alleging similar claims. About four months after Cassie’s lawsuit, Homeland Security organized raids at Diddy’s Los Angeles and Miami homes, as part of an ongoing investigation into the mogul.

During the raids, HSI LA and HSI MIA agents seized electronics, videotapes, firearms, and 1000s of bottles of baby oil and lubricant, plus more. Further damning Diddy was surveillance video released showing him physically assaulting Cassie in a hotel hallway in 2016.

If anyone hadn’t believed the allegations, eyes soon opened up and the federal investigation against Diddy gained momentum. Soon after, a federal grand jury indicted Diddy on three counts: racketeering conspiracy (RICO), sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. On Monday (September 16), Diddy was taken into federal custody in New York.

At his arraignment on Tuesday (September 17), Diddy and his legal team offered a $50 million bond package, which the judge denied and Diddy’s lawyers appealed. The following day, Wednesday (September 18), Diddy was denied bail for a second time and ordered to remain in MDC Brooklyn until his trial start, which has yet to be determined. Diddy’s RiCO charge carries a maximum sentence of life in prison, as does his charge of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion. His transportation for purposes of prostitution charge carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.

Now, hours after Diddy was denied bail for a second time, his ex-girlfriend Cassie was spotted out and about in NYC and was all smiles. Paparazzi took photos and videos of her headed to and leaving dinner with friends. According to TMZ, Cassie “looked at ease” as she headed to “Left Bank” for dinner. Paparazzi continued to reveal her appearing happy and having fun at the dinner table with her friends.

Days before Cassie was seen happy at dinner in NYC, hours after Diddy was denied bail for a second time, PEOPLE published a story on the day he was arraigned. In their article, they reported that a Cassie Ventura source told them, “The amount of courage it took Cassie to speak out and be one of the first to speak out, can’t be underscored enough. It was terrifying in a very real way. There have been so many people protecting Diddy for so long and it’s not an exaggeration to say her life was in danger through all this.”

Additionally, it was reported that when Cassie and Diddy settled their suit, they both “decided to resolve this matter amicably” and on terms that gave her “some level of control.” The source said the past year has been difficult for Cassie and she’s been leaning on her husband Alex Fine for support.

Fine was her personal trainer whom she fell for and married in 2019 and went on to have daughters with, Frankie, 4, and Sunny, 3. The source added, “It’s been really, really hard for her, and for Alex as well, but he has been the biggest support. She was very hopeful that justice would come.”
