Benzino has claimed that he once beat up MC Serch for dissing him and his Almighty RSO crew during a show.
Speaking on Instagram Live, the controversial rapper and former publisher of The Source magazine recalled the alleged incident which he says happened at a concert in Virginia in the early 1990s.
“MC Serch was cool but he did some sucker shit one time at a show. We was in Virginia in ’91 on The Source Tour. It was us, Roxanne Shanté, MC Serch and a bunch of other people,” he said.
“I was with a group called [the Almighty] RSO […] We had just killed it, too. We fucked Virginia up. I don’t know if he was jealous but this n-gga goes on stage and was like, ‘Yo, them RSO muthafuckas are dope, but one of those n-ggas looks like Humpty Hump.’ He was talking about Marco [Antonio Ennis].”
Benzino added: “I know it was a joke but we rushed that stage so quick, snatched his ass up, made him apologize to the whole crowd. After that, he left the tour.”
Serch has yet to respond.
The former 3rd Bass member would hardly be the first rapper that Benzino has gotten physical — or at least threatened to get physical — with.
Earlier this year, the Love & Hip Hop alum challenged longtime foe Eminem, as well as Joe Budden, to a fight in the ring,
“50 [Cent] will fight Stevie J then I’ll fight Eminem,” he said, referencing the feud between the G-Unit and Bad Boy representatives. “And then it would be the biggest pay-per-view celebrity boxing match in the history of the world.
“Sleeves and 50. Me and Eminem. It would be crazy. Put us on the undercard of Jake Paul and Mike Tyson. I need that to happen, y’all. I’ll fight Eminem. It’s 16 fucking ounce gloves. Like, come on. Them shits is damn near pillows.”
He then boldly declared: “I’ll knock Eminem out. 30 seconds into the round. Let’s just do it. Let’s get this bag. People want to see it.”
Benzino upped the ante weeks later by claiming that he could even defeat 50 Cent in the ring, despite the rap legend’s size advantage and history as a talented boxer.
“Being big don’t mean nothing in boxing, history has shown us that,” he said on the We In Miami podcast. “50’s been shot in the face before so that counts. He had to get reconstructive surgery; he’s not gonna be able to take any old punch in his face.”
He added: “If we were to box in a boxing match and I were to train for a couple months, hell yeah I could box 50. I’m gonna pick me every time.”
