Beyoncé was nominated many times but didn’t win any awards at the People’s Choice Country Awards.
On Thursday , Beyonce had more nominations than any other female artist, but she left without any wins, losing in major categories such as People’s Artist, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Female Artist. Even though Beyoncé was not present at the second annual ceremony, her fans voiced their opinions about the outcomes, eagerly sharing their thoughts online.
On the other hand, Shaboozey, who worked with Beyoncé on Cowboy Carter, won the New Artist of 2024 award. During his acceptance speech, he made sure to give a shoutout to Queen Bey. “Thank you Beyoncé, you’re amazing,” concluded Shaboozey, whose real name is Collins Obinna Chibueze.
As we previously shared, Beyoncé was snubbed for the 58th CMA Awards as well.
The nominations for the 2024 CMA Awards were announced recently, and many were taken aback to find that Beyoncé was notably missing from the roster. As one of the most prestigious honors in the country music industry, the CMA Awards seemed like an ideal opportunity for Beyoncé to break barriers as the first Black woman nominated for, and possibly winning, Album of the Year for her innovative project.
Regrettably, that achievement will not happen this year. A press release explained that the Album of the Year award is assessed based on numerous criteria, such as the artist’s performance, musical background, production quality, packaging, design, artwork, layout, and liner notes. The winners are selected by eligible voting members of the CMA, who are recognized professionals in the country music field, according to the Country Music Association.
