Wale may have impressed fans with a recent guest appearance alongside Leon Thomas, but he seems to have his own new music in the works with Conductor Williams.

The D.C. spitter took to X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday evening (September 28) with a music-related update, writing: “Conductor just sent me some beats …stay tuned.”

While he engaged with some fans’ responses to the statement, Wale didn’t offer any additional details.

The reveal came in the midst of a bevy of positive reactions to his appearance on singer Leon Thomas’ latest album MUTT.

A fan account’s post of a snippet of Wale’s verse on the song  “FEELINGS ON SILENT” was met with replies like, “Man, if this is anything like his new album it’ll be on repeat constantly @Wale” and “I like this @Wale, I like it a lot.”

The rapper replied to the latter, simply writing, “Me too.”

In August, Wale shared a preview of new song “Ghetto Speak” as part of his long-awaited collaboration with Nike.

The MC, who famously professed his love of the brand on 2008’s “Nike Boots,” is the face of the sportswear giant’s DMV Cherry Blossom Foamposite One campaign.

As well as starring in the commercial for the sneaker, Wale soundtracks it with a snippet of a never-before-heard song called “Ghetto Speak,” which is an ode to his hometown.

On the track, he raps: “From a land that far too well comprehends universal madness / Not too far from the symbolic architecture that masks it / But all is fair, I guess / ‘Cause broken glass, cherry blossoms, them bullet fragments don’t look as fantastic on the pamphlet.”

The ad also features a cameo appearance from local underground legend Big Lordy.

It is not known if “Ghetto Speak” will receive a commercial release or was made exclusively for the campaign.
