Megan Thee Stallion Drops Possible Clues About New Tape ‘Act Two’

Megan Thee Stallion is gearing up to drop her Megan: Act Two project, and now she’s giving fans little clues as to what to expect.

Taking to X on Tuesday (October 2), Meg promised: “hardest mixtape of 2024.”

She then seemingly teased a feature from frequent collaborator GloRilla. When Glo asked her to send her the tape, Meg replied: “I just approved your mix.”

The hints come just days after Meg previewed a new song that starts:

I’m at the top of my game, I’m who they hate/this shit come with the fame, that’s how I knew that I made it I/Woke up looking this good, I’m in my prime/These n-ggas gotta get played/If these bitches ain’t mad, I need to go harder/can’t let ’em think we the same.

She confirmed the snippet is a new song in her caption, which read: “almost done working hotties brb [butterfly emoji] (the song is not out yet)”

It seemed unclear at first whether Megan: Act Two is a separate album from her LP Megan, released this past June; or whether it will be a deluxe edition of that project, especially as butterfly imagery has been associated with the Megan project, which even had a special “butterfly edition” vinyl release.

However, referring to the project as a mixtape seems to speak to it being completely separate.

Megan, Tina Snow’s first release since departing her former label 1501 Certified Ent. after a bitter legal battle, came just a few months after a beef erupted between her and Nicki Minaj.

The feud was sparked by Megan’s venomous song “Hiss” on which she made a thinly-veiled reference to Nicki’s husband Kenneth Petty’s 1995 conviction for attempted rape.

“These hoes don’t be mad at Megan, these hoes mad at Megan’s Law,” she rapped, citing the federal law requiring authorities to make information available to the public regarding registered sex offenders.

The “Superbass” star fired back with the equally vicious “Big Foot,” which included a number of lurid accusations as well as taunts about the death of Megan’s mother and aforementioned shooting incident.

Things soon cooled off, with Nicki being widely criticized and Megan being deemed by many — including Charlamagne Tha God — to have come out on top.
