According to a report by PEOPLE, Visitors will be greeted by a giant winking Santa Claus and will have the opportunity to take photos with a real-life Santa. After taking their Christmas card photo, visitors will receive a free digital postcard. The stores will also feature a life-size gingerbread village where visitors can mail letters to the North Pole and check whether they’ve made the naughty or nice list.
“Each store offers a unique shopping experience, filled with an extensive selection of holiday décor, apparel, inflatables, gifts, and stocking stuffers,” a spokesperson said to the outlet. The first Spirit Christmas store is set to open on October 18 in Mays Landing, New Jersey, with the remaining nine locations opening in early November.

Other New Jersey cities, such as Marlton, Brick, and Woodbridge, will host this pop-up store, along with locations in Albany, Bohemia, and Poughkeepsie, New York. Additional stores will also open in Erie, Pennsylvania; Waterford, Connecticut; and Dartmouth, Massachusetts. All these locations will remain open throughout the holiday season.
In response to the news, fans of Spirit Halloween said they are excited that the store will stick around for the holidays and they can continue being in the festive spirit:
This expansion comes shortly after Spirit Halloween garnered attention following a recent Saturday Night Live sketch that mocked the chain’s temporary nature. In response, the company wrote in a tweet: “We are great at raising things back from the dead @nbcsnl.”
