We’re just days away from Election Day, and Barack Obama wants folks to get their facts straight before casting their votes.
Fresh off his North Philadelphia trip, where he was joined by Bruce Springsteen and John Legend at a rally in support of Kamala Harris, Obama reiterated his previous message to the large crowd at Temple University’s Liacouras Center.
Barack Obama took to social media to remind people that the small stimulus check given to Americans during the pandemic was the result of Congress, despite Donald Trump taking all the credit for it.
He tweeted on X (formerly Twitter), “I often hear folks say, ‘Donald Trump sent me a check during the pandemic.’ I want to make sure you understand this: Congress sent you a check. By the way, Joe Biden also sent you a check during the pandemic, just like I gave people relief during the Great Recession. The difference is that we didn’t put our names on it – because it wasn’t about feeding our egos or advancing our politics; it was about helping people.” He added, “So don’t be giving him credit for that. And don’t give him your vote, either. There’s only one candidate in this election who cares about you, and that’s Kamala Harris.”

More on Barack Obama’s Support for Kamala Harris:
Back in June, Barack Obama officially endorsed Kamala Harris after President Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential race.
“Kamala has more than a resume,” the statement read. “She has the vision, the character, and the strength that this critical moment demands. There is no doubt in our mind that Kamala Harris has exactly what it takes to win this election and deliver for the American people. At a time when the stakes have never been higher, she gives us all reason to hope.”
Biden also praised Kamala for her strength, expressing confidence in her ability to take on this significant role. “I made my choice. I’ve made my views known. I’d like to thank our great vice president, Kamala Harris,” Biden said. “She’s experienced, she’s tough, she’s capable. She’s been an incredible partner to me and a leader for our country. Now, the choice is up to you, the American people.”
