President Joe Biden has gone viral after dragging former President Donald Trump and calling his supporters “garbage” following a comedian insulting Puerto Rico at Trump’s recent rally.
On Tuesday evening (October 29), as Vice President Kamala Harris made a major speech to voters, calling for unity outside of the White House, Joe Biden was on a virtual Harris campaign call with Voto Latino, where he took a swipe at Donald Trump and his supporters.
As we previously shared, at Donald Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden in New York City, comedian Tony Hinchcliffe insulted and mocked different ethnic groups, with one joke referring to Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage.” While Donald Trump’s running mate J.D. Vance claims Americans can’t take a joke and have become “too sensitive,” Hinchcliffe echoed the sentiments and defended his comedic comments without apology.

Meanwhile, Kamala Harris has slammed the comedian along with Donald Trump for allowing the rhetoric to be spread at a presidential event. Joining VP Harris is Joe Biden, who now slams Donald Trump and calls Trump supporters “garbage.”
During the Voto Latino call, Biden said, “Donald Trump has no character. He doesn’t give a damn about the Latino community. He’s a failed businessman, and he only cares about his billionaire friends and accumulated wealth of those at the top. He says, ‘Immigrants are poisoning the blood of the country.’ Give me a break. He wants to do away with the birthright citizenship. Who the hell has said that in the last 100 years?”
Biden continued to slam Trump, firing off, “And just the other day, a speaker at his rally called Puerto Rico, ‘a floating island of garbage.’ Well, let me tell you something, I don’t, I don’t know the Puerto Rican that I know, the Puerto Rico where I’m from — in my home state of Delaware. They’re good, decent honorable people. The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters. His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it’s un-American. It’s totally contrary to everything we’ve done, everything we’ve been.”
The president then took to social media to clarify what he had said. Joe Biden tweeted on X (formerly Twitter), “Earlier today I referred to the hateful rhetoric about Puerto Rico spewed by Trump’s supporter at his Madison Square Garden rally as garbage — which is the only word I can think of to describe it. His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable. That’s all I meant to say. The comments at that rally don’t reflect who we are as a nation.”
