Former YSL member Kenneth “Lil Woody” Copeland, who’s been accused of “snitching” on Young Thug and his YSL RICO co-defendants, says he is “genuinely happy’ to see Thugger released from jail, adding that he has no fear of retaliation from the Atlanta rapper nor his RICO co-defendants.
During a conversation with ‘The Danza Project‘ podcast, former YSL member Woody opened up about things going on in his life and thoughts about Young Thug’s YSL RICO trial and his release. One day before Young Thug, born Jeffery Lamar Williams, was released from jail after taking a plea deal, Woody admitted that the Atlanta rapper was always going to come home despite the federal charges against him.
Woody said, “He was always going to come home, ’cause like I keep telling everybody, God has all the power. Don’t matter what man and woman try to do. God has the last say so. Sometimes we gotta go through things in life to get us right. This is one situation where his head [is] up. It get[s] hard in there.”

Speaking on Young Thug and his YSL RICO co-defendants, Woody continued, “You know, I prayed for them. They’re gonna be okay, don’t matter what’s going on. But, this is an eye-opener for not just them, but for the world, because they’ve been doing this to us for so long, for so long. You put people in situations where people will say anything to get out of this situation. And then, you try to make it to be more than what it is. But, I ain’t going to get myself locked back up.”
Woody, who’s been accused of “snitching” on Young Thug and his YSL RICO co-defendants, was then reminded about a positive social media post he recently shared about Thug. Woody was then asked if he was “genuinely happy” about Young Thug’s jail release in his YSL RICO case and he said, “I’m genuinely happy for all of them to come home. I don’t have no fear. They’re not a threat to me and I’m not a threat to them. I don’t want nobody in jail.”
Woody continued, “Like I said and I’mma say it again. I went through a dark phase in my life where I let the demons get the best of me. See people say, ‘Oh, he a killer.’ Nah, bro. When the demons get to you, n***as can say whatever they want. I know y’all ain’t been in my position. So, it’s like I ain’t got no point to prove to y’all.”
Woody returned to the topic of Young Thug’s YSL RICO jail release and said, “I think when Thug come home, everything, you know, going to be 100 times better for him. He’ll move more better, and when I say that, you know, he’ll just change his whole surroundings and continue to be great for himself and his family. I’m not looking for no… I’m not trying to be nobody’s downfall. I deal with enough as is.”
When asked if he could ever see himself sitting down with Young Thug again, Woody said, “I don’t want to speak on that… God got a unique way of doing everything. What is meant, is meant and what ain’t, it just ain’t. I ain’t living my life in a way that I don’t want to live it. I’m living my life the way I want to live it. I’ve been through this storm.”
He concluded, “So, people can accept me or not. It’s not going to make my life better or worse. What God got for me, God got for me. Man can’t stop it. I love Thug. I love Shannon. I love Yak, Qua, I love all them boys. And if they feel some type of way towards me, all I can ask is God for forgiveness and move forward. I ain’t looking to do nothing to nobody.”
