On Veterans Day, a day that resonates deeply with gratitude and remembrance, President Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, former President Barack Obama, and Donald Trump have taken the time to honor the brave Americans who have donned the uniform and defended our democracy.
President Biden kicked things off with heartfelt words. He said, “Today, we honor all our veterans who have defended and fought for our democracy. They prove that we are a nation that can meet darkness with light, no matter how high the cost or how heavy the burden. May we all strive to be worthy of their sacrifices for us.”
Following Biden, Barack Obama stepped up with his own tribute on X. He said, “On Veterans Day, we owe our veterans and their families our thanks, our respect, and our freedom. To all those who bravely served, thank you for your service to our country.”
Vice President Kamala Harris, who’s faced her share of challenges on the political stage, kept her head high and shared her thoughts, saying, “On Veterans Day, we honor the brave Americans who have fought to fulfill and defend the promise of America. We thank you for your service. Our nation is safer and stronger because of you.”
Meanwhile, President-elect Donald Trump kept it simple. He shared a photo of himself saluting veterans, with the words that read, “Happy Veterans Day.”
Later today, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will appear together at a Veterans Day Ceremony in Arlington.
