Cynthia Erivo has a lot of exciting topics to discuss as her new film, WICKED, is set to hit theaters soon.
While appearing on the “Armchair Expert” podcast to delve deeper into the highly anticipated movie, the actress encountered a strange and unrelated question that understandably rubbed her the wrong way.
“Can I ask you a really crazy question that’s inappropriate?” Dax Shepard asked the U.K.-born actress. “When you’re wiping your butt—” Before he could finish, Erivo interjected, saying, “I knew you would ask that question. Everybody asks that question!” She went on to clarify, “Nobody uses just their fingers to wipe their backside. You use tissue. Correct? And you wipe.” Shepard then inquired about her bathroom routine.
“Does the tissue go on the fingernails?” he asked, to which she replied, “Pads of the fingers.” At this point, he could clearly sense Erivo’s annoyance and asked if she was offended by the question.
The candid entertainer admitted that she was “annoyed,” adding, “I’m like, ‘Come on, guys.’ But I get it. But it’s also like, I’m a functioning adult and I’ve never walked around smelling like, you know…” Erivo continued, “People are bold. People are like, ‘How do you get anything done with those nails?’ I’m like, ‘I mean, I’m here. I’m dressed.’”

Aside from the focus on her nail care, many fans couldn’t help but admire the creative designs she showcased at the recent movie premieres.
Her captivating look at the significant New York City event drew considerable attention. Cynthia’s talented nail artist, Mycah Dior, also known as @ClawzbyDior_, shared the inspiration behind such an impressive design. She explained, “This whimsical set is inspired by Wicked, of course. It brings Elphaba and Glinda’s worlds to life. Green and pink colors embody their contrasting personalities, with Elphaba’s vivid green skin and Glinda’s soft, light-hearted aura. Hand-sculpted, painted 3D eyes add a bold, mysterious element, while a hand-drawn clock captures the timeless magic of the story. Every detail adds to the enchanting, whimsical feel of this set. It took about 4 hours to create.”
