If you’re a foodie and frequent fliers then you might be here for this: Delta Air Lines is about to take in-flight dinning to new heights as it just announced a partnership with Shake Shack.
Starting this December, flights departing from the bustling streets of Boston will be serving up Shake Shack cheeseburgers to passengers on routes over 900 miles. This mouthwatering partnership with the iconic New York burger chain is all about elevating the Delta travel experience.
But hold on—before you start dreaming of that juicy cheeseburger mid-flight, there’s a catch. Only first-class fliers will have the luxury of pre-selecting their Shake Shack meal. So if you’re riding in the back, you might just have to settle for those standard airplane snacks. But for those lucky enough to snag a seat upfront, you can choose your cheesy delight starting December 1st.
Stephanie Laster, Delta’s Director of Onboard Service said in a statement, “A delicious cheeseburger is an iconic comfort food — our customers know that, which is why burgers are one of the top ordered menu items we offer, and we’re thrilled to elevate the offering with Shake Shack.”

To make things even better, along with that glorious cheeseburger, passengers will also be treated to a Caesar salad, crispy chips, and a dark chocolate brownie.
“At Shake Shack, we’re always looking for new and innovative ways to meet our guests where they are, even at 35,000 feet,” said Michael Kark, president of global licensing at Shake Shack. “Taking our beloved cheeseburger to new heights, Shake Shack is proud to partner with Delta as we elevate the in-flight dining and hospitality experience for travelers across the country.”
Delta is already eyeing the future too, with plans to expand this delicious offering to other U.S. markets throughout 2025. While they haven’t spilled the beans on whether main cabin customers will get a taste of these airborne burgers, we’re all crossing our fingers and hoping to see this tasty treat land in more seats soon.
