Well Dang! Joe Budden Goes Off On Drake For Taking Legal Against UMG Over Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us”

Well it’s safe to say that Joe Budden is definitely fed-up with Drake. The rapper-turned podcaster is weighing in on Drizzy’s legal move against Universal Music Group and he’s not here for it… at all.

As previously reported, Drake has taken legal action against UMG, alleging that the company collaborated with Apple and Spotify to inflate the streaming numbers of Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us” using bots and other illicit methods. Additionally, Drake made another legal move against the music giant, accusing them of defamation and claiming that their actions could have hindered the release of a song that “falsely accuses him of being a sex offender.”

In episode 779, titled “The Bots Like Us,” the podcasters dive into this topic, and Budden let’s his feelings all out: “[Drake] is a selfish, lying, manipulative sack of s*it who has made enemies for fifteen years, and now we are here at the f**king boiling point. You have been behind the scenes being the biggest sack of s*it you could possibly be.” Ouch.

Budden continued to criticize the Canadian rapper for living a messy life by allegedly being involved with other women, suggesting that people overlook his behavior due to his status and connections in the industry. But now Budden insists, “The blind eye days are done. I don’t wanna hear that s*it now.”

This isn’t the first time Budden has called out the OVO rap star. Back in July, amid the unfolding feud between Kendrick and Drake, Budden supported the “colonizer” label that Kendrick assigned to Drizzy.

“Culture is where Kendrick was shifting his conversation: how do you dress? Who’s your barber? Are you a good dad? Can you dance? Your slaps? What’s your hood? Did you have a nickname growing up? Sh*t like that is what Kendrick was leaning into,” he explained.

So What sparked the beef between Drake and Kendrick?

The latest conflict initially arose among three of hip-hop’s biggest stars—Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and J. Cole. However, Cole quickly stepped back, leaving Drake and Kendrick to battle it out. After a series of diss tracks exchanged between them, Kendrick Lamar released his catchy track “Not Like Us,” with many fans declaring him the victor of the rap feud.

Since then, Drake has attempted to maintain a positive image, but with his recent actions, Hip-Hop fans are left feeling disappointed, with many labeling him a sore loser.

As of now, Drake has not publicly addressed his legal moves against UMG. In the meantime, we’d like to hear your thoughts on this in the comment box below!
