One of Britney Spears’ latest Instagram posts has raised some eyebrows.
The singer shared two videos on instagram early Tuesday, in which she mentioned her birthday and told fans that she’s turning 5-years-old and mentions that the paparazzi drove her to escape to Mexico. “It’s my birthday – I’m not turning 42, I’m turning 5 this year,” she says, “and I have to go to kindergarten tomorrow.”

After her video made rounds on social media, a lot of people began to weigh in on the topic and send some encouraging words. “I feel genuine empathy for Britney. The people responsible for her undoing are monsters,” one X user said. “nah this isn’t funny, this was an innocent girl from Louisiana and Hollywood absolutely destroyed her genuinely feel bad for her, she’s the best example of what happens when child stars become corrupted by sick Hollywood elites,” another person added.
In a second video shared later that day, Spears continued to call out the paparazzi while also inadvertently clarifying her earlier “mask” statement from the first video.
“I’m not really sure of why the paparazzi have me going on a plane looking like I’m wearing a Jason [Vorhees] mask,” the singer expresses, before bringing up a torch she was carrying at some point.
“I think my friend accidentally gave that to me,” Spears notes.
“It really hurts my feelings that the paparazzi make my face look like I’m wearing a white Jason mask,” she states, implying that her complaint stems from how she’s captured on camera.

“They’ve always been incredibly cruel to me,” Spears continues, “and the way they illustrated me [in] some of [their photos].”
Many of the recent photos of Spears provide insight into her state of mind and suggest that she is very much in control during her Instagram videos.
In the images published by the Daily Mail, Spears is seen donning a long white trench coat paired with black, thigh-high boots as she walks on the tarmac. Her white-rimmed sunglasses shield the upper half of her face, while a large black fedora helps block the sun from her view.
