Lizzo’s tour company scored a victory in California court on Monday, getting several claims dismissed that had been attracting negative attention for the artist.

As we previously reported, Asha Daniels, a former stylist for Lizzo’s Big Grrrl Big Tour, filed a lawsuit claiming racial and sexual harassment by members of Lizzo’s management team. She also alleged that she experienced a hostile work environment and was owed unpaid overtime. On Monday, Judge Fernando L. Aenlle-Rocha approved a partial motion to dismiss several of Daniels’ allegations, stating that she was employed by Lizzo during the European tour, where U.S. labor laws are not enforced.

“These allegations do not establish plausibly that any portion of plaintiff’s claim arose from work performed in the United States or qualifying territories,” Aenlle-Rocha said, according to Page Six.

The federal court judge in California also noted that Daniels failed to present any evidence to support her claims of accumulating overtime for her wardrobe design work with Big Grrrl Big Tour.

An insider familiar with Lizzo told The Post that the artist is determined to challenge the “false” allegations against her and has no intention of settling.

There’s a reason that Lizzo continues to fight long after most public figures would have settled – because these allegations are false and can’t be allowed to stand,” the insider told The Post. “She is not going to stop fighting until every single one of these ridiculous smears is dismissed.”
