Host Brian Kilmeade asked Trump if she would consider appearing on magazine covers like Vogue during her husband’s second term. She responded that she is focused on more important issues. “Look, I’ve been there on the cover, on the cover of Vogue, on the covers of many magazines before. We have so many other important things to do than to be on the cover of any magazine. I think life would not change for anybody if I’m on the cover,” Trump explained.
Traditionally, Vogue has featured previous First Ladies, including Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Jill Biden. However, Melania Trump did not appear on the magazine’s covers during her husband’s time in office. In 2022, she expressed her belief that the magazine was biased, stating that it was clear they had “likes and dislikes.”
“I have much more important things to do—and I did in the White House—than being on the cover of Vogue.”
Melania also noted there are more important things to accomplish towards the end of the interview.
