Fat Joe always keeps it 100 which is why it’s no surprise that he’s keeping it all the way real about his weight loss journey, and his use of the popular medication Ozempic.
The medication has exploded into popularity this year with a handful of stars admitting to taking it to drop some weight. However, it has been slammed by health professionals and experts. Despite that, Fat Joe is sharing just how pleased he is with the diabetes injectable drug that can help with weight loss.
While appearing on BigBoyTV, Joe said revealed that it was the death of his good friend that made him realize he needed to take his health seriously. Now, although he stayed committed to getting in shape, he says he invested too much money into his name to get rid of the “Fat” from it. Additionally, Joe credits the Ozempic for being the “greatest invention ever” because of the wonders it does to the body. Check out what else he had to say on the show:

<2>More On Ozempic:
Ozempic is a diabetes medication that packs the active ingredient semaglutide. It’s mainly used to help folks with type 2 diabetes manage their blood sugar levels. How it works is pretty cool—it mimics this hormone called GLP-1 that boosts insulin, cuts down on glucagon (which raises blood sugar), and slows down how fast your stomach empties.
Lately, it’s been making waves for weight loss, even for people who aren’t diabetic. Why? Because it helps curb hunger and makes you feel full, so you end up eating less. Studies have shown that people taking Ozempic can shed some serious pounds, which is why some are using it off-label just to slim down. Just a heads up, though—if you’re thinking about using it for weight loss, chatting with a healthcare pro is a must since it’s not officially approved for that and can have side effects.
Other stars who have openly spoken out about using Ozempic are Amy Shumer, Kelly Osbourne, Rebel Wilson and so many more.
