A new update reveals that prosecutors are expected to drop the felony theft charge against Master P‘s son Hercy Miller, who allegedly stole two refrigerators with two other student-athletes.
As we previously shared, Hercy Miller, the son of NOLA rap legend Master P was arrested for allegedly stealing refrigerators from Southern Utah University, along with two other students, Brock Felder and Peter Dadson Jr. The three students, who are all a part of the Southern Utah University Thunderbirds basketball team, were each hit with a felony theft charge on November 27.
According to arrest documents, Master P’s son Hercy Miller, and the two other male students, allegedly stole two refrigerators, each valued at $1,500 from the loading dock of the campus bookstore in Cedar City, Utah. Security surveillance footage reportedly shows the three student-athletes loading the two refrigerators and putting them into their cars on November 11.

When interrogated by police, Hercy Miller and Peter Dadson Jr. reportedly told them they believed the two refrigerators were up for grabs since they had been sitting on the bookstore loading dock for “almost a month.” The arrest affidavit read, “[Dadson Jr.] said that he believed they were being thrown away and that it was OK to take them.”
Meanwhile, the third student-athlete arrested, Brock Felder, told the police that he was the one who helped load the refrigerators into their cars, but claimed it was one of the other guys who actually planned the whole fridge heist. The three men were arrested, booked at Iron County Jail, and released by November 28.

According to TMZ Sports, prosecutors trying the case against Master P’s son Hercy Miller, and his two co-defendants, are expected to drop the felony theft charges against them. The publication reported that prosecutors directly told them they filed new court documents to dismiss the case.
A spokesperson for the Iron County Attorney’s Office said they submitted a motion to dismiss on Friday afternoon (December 6). If a judge ultimately decides to sign off on the dismissal request, Master P’s son Hercy Miller, and his co-defendants, will be set free. A formal ruling is due by the end of next week.
Elsewhere, Southern Utah University Thunderbirds head coach Rob Jeter spoke out on social media and said, “I am pleased with the quick action taken by the Iron County District Attorney to resolve this unfortunate misunderstanding after their thorough review of the facts. Our players made a mistake taking these items when they thought these items were being trashed,” Jeter said. “I want to thank my athletics and university administration for their support during this difficult time. Eyes front. Head high to the finish. Go Thunderbirds.”
