On Friday, December 6, 2024, at Newark Airport, Spirit Airlines decided to kick things up a notch for the holiday season. The airline teamed up with former NFL superstars and the American Football Men’s Choir from America’s Got Talent to spread the cheer and showcase their new and improved travel experience.

Spirit unveiled its new travel options, which promise to deliver a friendlier, more comfortable, and cost-effective travel experience. The airline’s “Go Big” upgrades will let travelers enjoy Spirit’s Big Front Seat, featuring enhanced comfort at the front of each aircraft with wider, more padded seating, extra legroom, and no middle seat. Travelers got first dibs on the inside scoop about the new changes while being treated to some angelic voices by the choir.
The lineup of former NFL players-now choir singers includes Cam Jerrell Newton (Falcons, Panthers), Bryan Scott (Falcons, Bills), Olrick Johnson (Patriots, Jets), and Keshun Freeman (Saints). “We are proud to support musicians, photographers, filmmakers, writers, and creatives of all types with our Music4Miles Program, which gives careers and dreams More Go,” Spirit said in a statement.

“Music4Miles is Spirit Airline’s awareness-raising program that gives miles in exchange for music, art, jokes, and all things FLY. It’s a simple, rewarding exchange for both parties.”
This comes after Spirit delivered a strong performance to kick off the busy holiday travel season in November, connecting guests with family and friends across more than 5,200 flights during Thanksgiving week.
The airline poured the gravy on top by more than doubling Spirit’s net promoter score, a metric used to measure Guest satisfaction, in November 2024 compared to November 2023. Spirit added in a statement, “We look forward to welcoming travelers back onboard for their upcoming adventures in December and 2025.”
