As we previously shared, after the Colorado Buffaloes cornerback and wide receiver was awarded the Heisman Trophy last Saturday (December 14), Travis Hunter’s relationship with his fiancée Leanna Lenee went under a microscope.

Critics have been flooding social media with comments attacking Hunter’s fiancée for not standing up when he was awarded his huge accomplishment, along with calling her out for seemingly being a gold digger. Social media detectives then began digging into her background, finding videos of her claiming she wasn’t initially attracted to the football player, etc.

The initial criticisms caused Travis Hunter to speak out at least twice to defend his fiancée Leanna Lenee, who then shared an 8-minute clip defending herself and her relationship. When the criticism still continued, Travis Hunter, who is preparing to enter the 2025 NFL draft, spoke out once more telling critics that all of the backlash has been “draining” and that he was not going to break up with his woman because the “internet wants him to.”

During a recent stream, Travis Hunter put his foot down and continued to respond to the negative comments about him and his fiancée Leanna Lenee, begging critics to please leave him alone because it’s all been completely draining. In one clip, he began, “They want me to be unhappy. They don’t want me to be in a relationship… The comments and the people, you know, the hating, the hate, the hatred that I’m getting, it’s draining. It’s draining for sure. But, ehh. I don’t even care no more, bro. There’s a lot of people…it’s just draining.”

He continued, Bro, I didn’t even want to spark up streaming today because I know there’s going to be a lot of people in here trolling. So, like, it’s draining. I’m definitely not going to be myself for a minute. There’s a lot of people just talking and hating. Every time I get on my phone, it’s something new that they’re lying about. Every time, it’s something new that somebody’s talking about and we are just a topic right now. It’s draining, bro. It is draining, bro. Everybody’s just always got something to say. Whenever I go on my phone, there’s no way I can go on my phone without seeing something.”

In a second clip, he addressed critics wanting him to leave his fiancée. He said, “Why would I break up with my girl ‘cause the internet wants me to break up with my girl? Ain’t nobody know me or her personally. That’s what y’all don’t understand. Y’all are not in my personal life. So, y’all don’t understand. Y’all don’t know what we go through. And it’s draining because everybody’s always got something to say. Like, bro, just leave me alone, bro. Let me be me. I’ve been with my girl for 5 years and all of a sudden this year, y’all want to say something? Leave me alone.”

On Sunday (December 22), life coach and relationship expert Dr. Cheyenne Bryant took to her Instagram Story to react to 2024 Heisman trophy winner Travis Hunter’s latest response to criticism over his fiancée Leanna Lenee and give him sound advice.

Reposting an article published by Hollywood Unlocked, Dr. Cheyenne Bryant gave Travis Hunter some advice over his fiancée, “All these men giving him relationship advice are either single, divorced, or baby daddies. This man is none of those statistics.” She continued to share her own relationship advice and said, “Travis, be with your fiancée and do what works best for you. My only advice would be to make her a wife and you a husband, and not a single mother or single father. Blessings, young man!”
