Diddy Files Motion To Dismiss Rodney Jones Lawsuit • Hollywood Unlocked

Diddy is responding to Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones shocking lawsuit claiming that his accusations amount to nothing more than a money grab.

The hip-hop mogul, along with his lawyer Marc Agnifilo, submitted a motion to dismiss Jones’ second amended complaint in Manhattan Federal Court on Monday, challenging each of the allegations made against Diddy. Overall Diddy is accusing Jones of attempting to secure a swift settlement by making wild accusations aimed at damaging his reputation.

According to TMZ, Jones recently shared a video on X featuring rapper “Uncle Murda,” where they can be seen joking about the lawsuit against Diddy. In the video, Jones purportedly insisted that Diddy “pay him that money by Monday.” Diddy argues that Jones has not demonstrated any injury to his “business or property” as defined by the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, commonly referred to as RICO. Initially, Jones claimed that his “business or property” suffered due to unpaid services he provided for Diddy’s 2023 album, “The Love Album: Off The Grid.”

Diddy also asserts that Jones failed to present a primary claim under the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000, which would demonstrate that he was compelled to engage in a sex act in exchange for something of value or that he was victimized by such an act.

In addition, Diddy contended that Jones did not supply the necessary specifics regarding the sexual assault and harassment allegations he leveled against him.

Furthermore, Diddy dismissed all of Jones’ other allegations in his filing—including premises liability, emotional distress, and breach of oral contract—as unfounded. He argues that Jones has not demonstrated that Diddy had control over the locations where the alleged assaults by third parties took place.

Diddy further argued that Jones did not establish a valid claim for emotional distress. Regarding the breach of oral contract allegation, Diddy asserted that this claim is beyond the statute of limitations.
