Alabama Barker, the 19-year-old daughter of Travis Barker and his ex-wife Shanna Moakler, is addressing reports about being taken to the hospital recently after quitting vaping cold turkey, which led to some kind of anxiety attack later revealed as nicotine withdrawal.
TMZ previously reported that sources familiar with The Barker Family told them that Alabama Barker could be caught “occasionally vaping,” up until she began pursuing her music career and taking things more seriously this year.
After reportedly being told to ditch her disgusting vaping habit and take better care of her vocal cords and body, the aspiring rapper allegedly decided to quit vaping cold turkey, which led to her feeling panicked, anxious, and unwell one day while left alone.
Fearing for her health and well-being, sources told TMZ that Barker called 9-1-1 herself and was taken to a local hospital to get checked out. While there, Barker was told by medical professionals that she was experiencing nicotine withdrawal after quitting vaping cold turkey, instead of safely weening herself off the vape pens she was said to be “occasionally” using.
The health officials told her that if you quit vaping cold turkey, the body can easily experience nicotine withdrawal. Fortunately, Barker was checked out by doctors and feeling okay. In fact, she was well enough to enjoy her birthday, which fell on Christmas Eve.
Since reports about her hospital visit over nicotine withdrawal, Alabama Barker is now addressing things and clarifying a couple of claims.
On Tuesday (December 31), Barker took to her Instagram Story and said, “Hello everyone. I just want to clarify that I was not in the hospital this month or last. The situation occurred some time ago, and I was there for about three hours before being discharged. They provided me with a nicotine patch and an inhaler, and that’s all. Let’s please avoid spreading any rumors and focus on moving forward. Thank you.”
Alabama Barker has also recently been in the headlines with rapper Bhad Bhabie and her child’s father Le Vaughn. Before the year comes to a close, Barker took to her TikTok Story with a critical and worrisome year-end wrap-up.
She shared a message that read, “And suddenly you’re the villain of the year for not knowing who somebody was, got manipulated, got hit, haven’t received any calls from your friends, hate train getting worse by the second, and being every news outlet’s new story, 15 panic attacks a day, getting told to off yourself every two minutes, at 19.”
