Shannon Sharpe on Sexual Assault Lawsuit Against Skip Bayless: “That Has Nothing To Do With Me”

Shannon Sharpe wants people to keep his name out of the latest lawsuit involving his former co-host Skip Bayless, making it very clear that he has absolutely nothing to do with this legal drama!

On Sunday’s episode of his podcast, “The Night Cap” with Chad Johnson also known as Ocho Cinco, the two hosted a Q&A session for live viewers, during which one viewer brought up the allegations against Sharpe’s former employer.

Without shying away, Sharpe addressed the issue directly, stating, “That ain’t got nothing to do with me. So there’s nothing to address. I don’t know why everybody keeps—if you notice, everybody’s posting it, they got me. In the 42 pages, they don’t mention nothing about Shannon Sharpe doing anything. But y’all want to get clicks. So y’all mention me.” Ocho Cinco supported him, adding that the lawsuit “got nothing to do with us.”

More On The Lawsuit:

As we previously reported, former Fox Sports employee Noushin Faraji alleged in her lawsuit that one of the reasons she was fired from the company was her repeated refusal to engage in sexual relations with Bayless.

While many people were quick to associate Sharpe with this lawsuit, it only mentions Charlie Dixon, Joy Taylor, and Bayless as defendants. Sharpe’s name does not appear anywhere in the complaint.

While the lawsuit itself was shocking to hear, it was the claims that astonished sports fans even more. The woman accused Bayless of making numerous sexual advances toward her. She alleged that he even offered her $1.5 million, according to the former employee.

In the suit, she claims that the HR department at Fox also allegedly covered up the incidents to protect one of their biggest assets. Dixon is named as a defendant in a case of sexual battery, with the executive VP of Fox Sports’ content allegedly groping Faraji at an office birthday party.

So far, a Fox spokesperson has responded to these claims by stating, “We take these allegations seriously and have no further comment at this time given this pending litigation.”
