Jay Z is not taking his foot off Tony Buzbee’s neck! The business mogul is cranking up the heat on his accuser’s attorney, and let’s just say, it’s getting spicy!
Jay, who’s mastered the art of the mic and the dollar, is now demanding that a court throw some serious sanctions at Buzbee for what he calls a “false rape lawsuit” that’s been throwing shade on his otherwise sunshine-filled reputation, TMZ reports.
Alex Spiro, Jay-Z’s attorney has filed a fresh motion that reads more like a “what not to do” guide for attorneys. Spiro claims that Buzbee didn’t even bother with the basic investigation before launching a lawsuit that alleges Jay-Z and Diddy drugged and assaulted a woman when she was just 13 years old after the MTV VMAs in 2000.
According to Jay-Z’s filing, Buzbee’s negligence is on full display. After a revealing NBC News interview with the accuser aired, which raised eyebrows about her story, Buzbee didn’t even blink—he didn’t withdraw the lawsuit. As previously reported, accuser’s claims includes a “large white residence” with a U-shaped driveway, conveniently located about 20 minutes from the VMAs. However, Jay was spotted partying it up at the Lotus nightclub in Manhattan post-awards, and well, there are pictures to prove it. So much for a stealthy getaway!
Oh, and let’s not forget the part where the accuser claims her father picked her up after the alleged incident. Her dad, however, seems to have misplaced that memory, which raises a few questions. Then there’s the claim that she watched the VMAs on a Jumbotron outside Radio City Music Hall—spoiler alert: there wasn’t one! NYC denied MTV’s request for the big screen, the news site notes.

Jay-Z’s point is clear: if Buzbee had bothered to do his homework, he’d have discovered so many holes in this story. But instead, he slapped a lawsuit together that’s done nothing but tarnish Jay’s name.
But hold on! Buzbee isn’t taking all lightly. While speaking with TMZ, Spiro’s team fired back saying, “With each frantic filing, Mr. Spiro’s team reeks of desperation. Mr. Spiro and his team think the laws and rules don’t apply to them. They are flat wrong. They also think they can bully or intimidate counsel by filing meritless and frivolous pleadings full of lies and half truths. Again, they are dead wrong. We won’t be bullied or intimidated, ever.”
