Maine authorities are reporting that a man, who was picked up twice for domestic violence in just two days, resorted to cutting his own face with a razor blade in a twisted attempt to frame his girlfriend.
Aric Houghton, 30, from San Antonio, Texas, was first arrested on Tuesday after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend at her apartment. The charges against him included domestic violence aggravated assault, obstructing the report of a crime, and criminal mischief. The Bangor Police Department got another call from Houghton on Wednesday, where he claimed his girlfriend had attacked him at her place.
When officers arrived, they found him bleeding from cuts on his face. He alleged that she had gone after him with a razor blade, and he was taken to the hospital for treatment. However, his girlfriend told the police a different story. She explained that Houghton had a key to her apartment and came back to confront her again after originally assaulting her.
She expressed fear for her life, believing he might be there to seriously harm her.
She also reported that Houghton had actually cut his own face and was trying to manipulate the situation, claiming he would get her arrested for assaulting him.
