Bling Empire: New York’ Star Lynn Ban Passes Away at 52 After Undergoing Brain Surgery

Heartbreaking news this morning: Lynn Ban, one of the stars of “Bling Empire: New York,” has sadly passed away.

Ban, who was also a prominent jewelry designer, was reportedly found dead Monday in a Tribeca home. An NYPD spokesperson confirmed the news to the outlet, stating that a 52-year-old woman was found unconscious and unresponsive near Warren Street and West Street, though they did not confirm her identity. Her death comes just weeks after a near-fatal skiing accident.

Ban’s son, Sebastian, also confirmed his mother’s passing in an Instagram statement that read, “My mum passed away on Monday. I know she wanted to share her journey after her accident and brain surgery, so I thought she would appreciate one last post sharing the news to people who supported her,” Sebastian wrote, alongside photos of the pair. “Many of you followed my mum but never got the chance to know her or meet her in person. I would like to take the chance to share who my mum really was.”

He continued, “She was and always will be my best friend, the best mother to me, and someone who cared for all. She always had a smile on her face even when times were tough during her recovery process. She was a fighter until the end and is the strongest woman I know. She was the funniest and coolest mum I could ever ask for. She took care of me, my dad, and our entire family throughout her whole life.” He added, “Although she may be gone now, I will do everything I can to make sure she is never forgotten and for her life to be celebrated as it deserves to be. As a final message to my mum, I would just like to say that I will miss you forever and to end with something she always told me: ‘I love you more than life itself,’ mum.”

More on Lynn Ban:

Lynn Ban’s health took a toll for the worse following a ski accident on December 30. Ban said that she had suffered a fall while skiing in Aspen on Christmas Eve. “At the top of the mountain, I caught a tip and face planted,” Ban said on her Instagram at the time. “Luckily, I always wear a helmet; it didn’t seem that bad at the time, and I was able to ski to the bottom.”

She later learned that she had a brain bleed after returning to the hospital for a CAT scan. “I went in a taxi with Jett, and within 30 minutes, they told us I had a brain bleed and needed to be airlifted to the trauma hospital,” she said. “The last thing I remember was being intubated and waking up after an emergency craniotomy with Jett by my side.”

Fans had been sending her well wishes around that time and even prayers. Sadly, they are now sending condolences to the reality star who lit up their televisions with her glamorous lifestyle and infectious personality.

She will be greatly missed.
