Donald Trump Administration Declassifies Joe Biden-Era CIA Analysis That Leans Towards COVID-19 Most Likely Originating From Lab Leak In China

#Socialites, get a load of this! While several theories surfaced amid and in the aftermath of the COVID-19 outbreak and global pandemic, one is now being highlighted in a new analysis declassified by President Donald Trumps administration via President Joe Biden‘s CIA (Central Intelligence Agency): a lab leak in China may truly be to blame.

According to several major outlets, a CIA spokesperson, under President Donald Trump’s administration, has now claimed that an analysis conducted during President Joe Biden’s administration suggests that COVID-19 most likely originated from a research lab leak in Wuhan, China.

Before the end of President Joe Biden’s time in office, his National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan ordered a new review on the origins of COVID-19, especially the theory of a lab leak.

Now, despite former CIA Director William “Bill” Burns telling the agency that it could not remain neutral on the various theories about coronavirus’ origins — further urging analysts to focus on the existing evidence again and give a solid answer — the new assessment was made with “low confidence.”

Under the CIA’s new director, John Ratcliffe — who has long been a believer of the lab leak theory — the spy agency has officially changed its assessment of the origins of the COVID-19 outbreak. And now, Ratcliffe demands the CIA “get off the sidelines” and take a stand in “addressing the threats from China.”

For five years, the CIA has maintained that it has not had enough intelligence to definitively conclude that COVID-19 originated in a lab or a wet market in Wuhan, China. Still, with the new analysis suggesting that COVID-19 most likely came from a lab leak, there is still no clear indication of new evidence.

In a statement released on Saturday (January 25), a CIA spokesperson said, “The CIA assesses with low confidence that a research-related origin of the COVID-19 pandemic is more likely than a natural origin based on the available body of reporting. CIA continues to assess that both research-related and natural origin scenarios of the COVID-19 pandemic remain plausible. We have low confidence in this judgment and will continue to evaluate any available credible new intelligence reporting or open-source information that could change CIA’s assessment.”
