Mississippi Lawmaker Reveals He’s Receiving Death Threats • Hollywood Unlocked

A Mississippi lawmaker pushing a controversial bill that effectively bans male masturbation says he’s taken aback by the backlash—he’s even receiving death threats!

Sen. Bradford Blackmon told TMZ that men from around the world are furious over his proposed ban, bombarding him with “vile” messages, some of which include threats to his life.

While Blackmon insists the bill is genuine, he admits he’s not entirely serious about it. His main goal is to spark a conversation about the double standards between men and women regarding reproductive health. He’s taking the threats seriously, however, and has reported them to the authorities.

Dubbed the “Contraception Begins at Erection Act,” the bill aims to prevent men from “spreading their seed” unless they plan to conceive, effectively outlawing masturbation. Blackmon introduced the bill to highlight the strict regulations women face concerning reproductive health.

He expected the legislation would mostly be met with laughter, but it seems some men don’t find the idea of hefty fines for solo activities amusing at all.

On the flip side, women have responded more positively, with many expressing their gratitude for Blackmon’s intentions, which he says aim to provoke thought about existing double standards.

While Mississippi already has strict abortion laws, Blackmon’s bill is unlikely to pass in the conservative state, yet the death threats continue to pour in.
