Amber Rose Speaks On Backing Donald Trump • Hollywood Unlocked

Amber Rose isn’t backing down despite the backlash for her support of Donald Trump. The reality star, 41, mentioned that she caught some serious heat during the last election, but now her critics are quiet.

“During the election, I was ‘canceled,’” she said in a new interview with Maxim. “Now? All the naysayers are quiet. They see he’s already changing our country for the better.” Rose, who has kids with Wiz Khalifa and Alexander “AE” Edwards, believes society needs to tune into “reality” and start having those tough conversations to help bring everyone back to a better place.

“Unfortunately, the ‘woke’ left cancels people for having a different ideology,” Rose told the outlet. “Fortunately for me, I don’t give a f–k and will always stand 10 toes down until the wheels fall off, regardless of what my beliefs may be.”

The reality TV star admitted that she used to have more left-leaning political views in the past. “I used to be on the left and thought I was doing the right thing,” she explained. “That’s why it’s so important to have open conversations.”

“On the left, there’s no objective truth. It’s only about feelings,” she said. “As a society, we all need to get back to reality and have these difficult conversations to bring us all back to a better place.”

Meanwhile, the mom of two dropped hints about possibly stepping into the political arena herself. “Maybe. I still have a lot to learn, but I’m definitely in love with it,” she said.

Rose has been more vocal about her political views than ever over the past year.

In July 2024, the model took the stage at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, where she shared her journey of political transformation and why she started supporting Trump.

Her primetime address came just two days after an assassination attempt on Trump during a rally in Butler, PA.

In her speech, she recounted how her father pushed her to dig into the former president’s statements and policies after “the left told me to hate Trump.”

“My message to you tonight comes from a humble place. The left told me to hate Trump and even worse, to hate the other side, the people who support him,” she said during her speech.

“When you cut through the lies, you realize the truth. American families were better when Donald Trump was president. We were safer, wealthier, and stronger.”
