Robinson,33, flew to the country on October 11, believing she was about to start a new life with 19-year-old Nidal Ahmed Memon. Initially, he was down to marry her, but his family interfered and shut the alleged relationship down; Nidal ended the relationship, leaving Robinson alone with no visa, money, or plan, and stranded for seven days at Karachi Airport, according to GEO TV. She reportedly went to his family’s home only to discover that the family had moved out and staged a sit-in outside of his building, sleeping in the parking lot and refusing to leave. Her actions lead to crowds of onlookers and concerned neighbors.

While sitting in the parking lot, Robinson told local media that she initially wanted $3,000 a week and Pakistani citizenship. “You got to give me $3,000 a week. I’m becoming a citizen of Pakistan, that’s all I got to say for tonight. If y’all dropping no bread by next week, I think I should leave,” she explained. After being moved to a women’s police station for safety, Robinson insisted on returning to Nidal’s neighborhood despite having nowhere to stay.
