On Tuesday (February 11), Mandy Moore blasted Amazon on her Instagram Story alleging a package got delivered to her mother- and father-in-law’s burned down Altadena home. The property was destroyed in the Los Angeles County fires last month.

Moore also lost her own family home in Altadena during January’s Eaton Fire. On January 8, as the Los Angeles County fires erupted, the 40-year-old entertainer posted videos of Altadena up in flames.

In her caption, she wrote:

“I love you, Altadena. Grateful for my family and pets getting out last night before it was too late (and endless gratitude to friends for taking us in and bringing us clothes and blankets). Honestly, I’m in shock and feeling numb for all so many have lost, including my family. My children’s school is gone. Our favorite restaurants leveled. So many friends and loved ones have lost everything too. Our community is broken but we will be here to rebuild together. Sending love to all affected and on the front lines trying to get this under control.”

The following day, Moore posted photos of her family returning to what was left of their homes. She wrote:

“We were able to park and walk up our street to bear witness to all the loss. Miraculously, the main part of our house is still standing, for now. It’s not livable but mostly intact. We lost Taylor and Griffin’s studio with every instrument and piece of equipment they’ve ever owned. We lost our garage and back house. Everyone we know lost everything. Every house on our street is gone. My in-laws. My brother- and sister-in-law — 6 weeks from welcoming their first baby. Our best friends. Feeling weird survivor’s guilt. We love this community and will do everything we can to help rebuild and support. Thanks to everyone for checking on us and offering us help. Altadena strong.”

Mandy Moore Calls Out Amazon After Allegedly Delivering Package To In-Law’s Burned Down Home In Altadena

On February 11, Mandy Moore slammed Amazon after a package was allegedly delivered to her in-laws’ Altadena home destroyed in the Los Angeles County fires. While taking to her Instagram Story, she showed an Amazon-taped package sitting on the steps of what was left of the home. The package stood tall with rubble and debris surrounding it.

The rest of the property had been completely leveled. Sharing her frustration with the company’s alleged doing, Moore called them out. She wrote, “Do better, Amazon. Can we not have better discretion than to leave a package at a residence that no longer exists? This is my mother- and father-in-law’s home. SMH.”

In a statement to PEOPLE, Amazon spokesperson Steve Kelly said:

“We’ve reached out to Ms. Moore via Instagram to apologize for this and to ask for more information from her in-laws so we’re better able to investigate what happened here. For weeks, we’ve advised those who are delivering on our behalf in southern California to use discretion in areas that were impacted by wildfires – especially if it involves delivering to a damaged home – that clearly didn’t happen here.”

After her viral post, Moore proceeded to share another update about her and her loved ones after being displaced by the fires.
