Rep. Joe Wilson Proposes $250 Bill Featuring Donald Trump's Portrait

Socialites, get into this. While many of us are still waiting to see Harriet Tubman grace the $20 bill, Rep. Joe Wilson from South Carolina has a different idea: introducing a $250 bill featuring none other than Donald J. Trump. Yes, you heard that right.

In a recent announcement, Wilson stated, “Grateful to announce that I am drafting legislation to direct the Bureau of Engraving and Printing to design a $250 bill featuring Donald J. Trump.” He went on to blame current economic conditions, saying, “Bidenflation has destroyed the economy forcing American families to carry more cash. Most valuable bill for most valuable President!” [oai_citation_attribution:0‡The Jerusalem Post](https://www.jpost.com/american-politics/article-843777?utm_source=chatgpt.com)

While this might sound like a wild idea, Wilson seems serious. In an emailed statement, his communications director mentioned, “This proposal is representative of America’s 250th anniversary next year and celebrates the President who is working to battle the economic problems left by Bidenflation.” [oai_citation_attribution:1‡The State](https://www.thestate.com/opinion/article300982514.html?utm_source=chatgpt.com)

But can this really happen? Only time will tell. If it does, Trump would join the ranks of other presidents whose faces adorn our currency. Currently, George Washington is on the $1 bill, Thomas Jefferson on the $2, Abraham Lincoln on the $5, Andrew Jackson on the $20, and Ulysses S. Grant on the $50. Notably, non-presidents Alexander Hamilton and Ben Franklin are on the $10 and $100 bills, respectively.”

This move would be historic, as no bills greater than $100 have been printed in over 80 years. [oai_citation_attribution:3‡AA](https://www.aa.com.tr/en/americas/us-lawmaker-from-trumps-party-proposes-250-bill-honoring-president/3493808?utm_source=chatgpt.com)
