Whoopi Goldberg had a lot to say about Donald Trump’s meeting with Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The sit-down, which took place on Friday, was nothing short of chaotic, with Trump and Vice President JD Vance aggressively criticizing Zelenskyy.
On Monday’s episode of The View, Whoopi didn’t hold back, calling the interaction “one of the most embarrassing things I’ve ever seen.”
Trump Berates Zelenskyy Over U.S. Aid
During the meeting, Trump and Vance repeatedly accused Zelenskyy of not showing enough gratitude for U.S. military support, despite the Ukrainian leader publicly thanking America multiple times. The exchange took a sharp turn when Trump issued a chilling warning:
“You’re gambling with World War III.”
Whoopi was visibly disgusted while discussing the clip on The View.
“That has to be one of the most embarrassing things I’ve ever seen,” she said. “This is the leader of a sovereign nation, and you are doing theater with him because you’re trying to show that you’re the hard guy.”
Alyssa Farah Griffin Slams Trump’s “Chilling” Behavior
Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin, who once worked for the Trump administration, echoed Whoopi’s outrage. She reminded viewers that despite Trump and Vance’s aggressive stance, the majority of Americans—62% according to recent polls—support Ukraine.
“It was chilling,” Griffin said. She also called out Senator Lindsey Graham, who has been flip-flopping on his stance regarding Zelenskyy.
“I will never understand, in my bones—having been on Air Force One with Trump, having been to Mar-a-Lago—is all that worth it to sell out everything you believe in? To sell all of your principles?”
Ana Navarro Defends Zelenskyy’s Attire
As if berating a war-time leader wasn’t enough, Trump and his allies took their pettiness to another level—criticizing Zelenskyy’s choice of attire.
Ana Navarro wasn’t having it.
“He’s wearing what he’s wearing because he is representing people’s suffering, because he is representing a country at war,” she fired back. “Over 100 hospitals have been destroyed. Over 700 schools have been destroyed. Over 100 churches have been destroyed.”
She continued, calling the attacks “one of the worst, most embarrassing, horrifying, mortifying moments I’ve ever seen in the Oval Office.”
Whoopi Stands With Zelenskyy
Whoopi ended her rant with a strong statement of solidarity with Ukraine’s president.
“You have not asked that, and I’m sorry. I do stand with you, Zelenskyy!”
While Trump and his allies continue to downplay the Russian invasion, many Americans, including high-profile celebrities like Whoopi Goldberg, are calling them out for their reckless rhetoric.
