Less than 24 hours after police were called to Tyreek Hill’s Miami-area home, his wife, Keeta Hill, officially filed for divorce. The split comes following a domestic dispute that unfolded Monday, shaking up fans of the Miami Dolphins wide receiver.
According to reports from the Sunny Isles Beach Police Department obtained by TMZ Sports, the situation escalated when Keeta’s mother, Alesia Vaccaro, called authorities after witnessing Tyreek get into a heated argument with Keeta. During the exchange, he allegedly threw a computer and grabbed their baby daughter.
Officers say Keeta explained that the two had been arguing often, and this particular dispute sparked after she commented that Tyreek wasn’t being involved enough with their child.
“That’s when he got irritated,” Keeta told officers.
Tyreek later confirmed to the cops that he became upset and reacted by grabbing the baby and walking around the apartment. Officers noted in the report, “In his own words, he stated, ‘I have the same rights as a father as her as a mother, and I can take my baby whenever I want.’”
Police Confirm No Arrests Were Made At The Scene
Despite the tension, both parties made it clear to police that the argument never got physical. Authorities did not make any arrests, and as of Wednesday, they confirmed there is no active investigation.
The Miami Dolphins issued a brief statement in response to the incident: “On Monday, we were informed that the police were called to Tyreek Hill’s home, and after conversations with Tyreek and members of his family, the police departed the residence without further incident and the case was closed. We have since been in communication with Tyreek and the NFL and will have no further comment on the matter.”
While no charges were filed, it’s the quick follow-up action from Keeta that’s drawing serious attention. Court documents show she filed divorce papers on Tuesday in Miami-Dade County—just hours after the police left.
From Wedding Bells To Divorce Papers—A Sudden Turn
Tyreek and Keeta tied the knot in November 2023, marking what seemed like a new chapter for the football star. But by early 2024, Tyreek shocked everyone by filing for divorce—only to walk it back days later. At the time, he blamed a “f***ing bonehead” in his camp who allegedly pushed him to make that move. He also insisted he and Keeta were happy and still solid.
Keeta gave birth to their daughter in late 2024, and the couple had been putting up a united front on social media—laughing, dancing, and sharing sweet family moments that made fans root for their bond.
That’s why this recent divorce filing has many supporters surprised, with some fans expressing heartbreak online. However, Keeta’s legal team is keeping it private. Her attorney, Evan R. Marks, told reporters, “Family matters are personal and respect the parties’ privacy as it plays out.”
What’s Next For Tyreek Hill and the NFL?
So far, neither Tyreek nor the NFL has issued a detailed personal statement on the divorce. The league, however, has been looped into the situation. While no official investigation has been launched, eyes are on how this might affect Tyreek’s public image, endorsement deals, and standing with the Miami Dolphins.
It’s worth noting that the NFL has a strict personal conduct policy, and past incidents involving domestic tension—even non-violent ones—have led to players facing consequences.
Fans are hoping both Tyreek and Keeta find peace and prioritize their daughter’s wellbeing as they navigate this next chapter.
