Whoah: Shannon Sharpe Accused of Rape in $50 Million Lawsuit by Ex-Girlfriend

NFL Legend Shannon Sharpe Hit With $50M Rape Lawsuit By Ex-Girlfriend

NFL legend Shannon Sharpe is back in the headlines and this time, it ain’t about no podcast beef or sports takes. The former baller turned TV host is being sued for $50 million by a woman who’s accusing him of rape and all kinds of other disturbing behavior.

According to ProFootballTalk, the woman—who’s going by “Jane Doe”—filed a 13-page lawsuit on Sunday in a Nevada state court. The complaint claims Shannon assaulted, sexually assaulted, and emotionally tormented her throughout what she described as a “rocky consensual relationship.” She says when she said no, Sharpe didn’t stop. The suit accuses him of being “manipulating and controlling” and even “repeatedly threatening to brutally choke and violently slap her.”

And get this… the woman in question is allegedly more than 30 years younger than Sharpe. She made it clear in the suit that she’s not the woman Sharpe accidentally broadcast having sex with during an Instagram livestream. But that incident? It’s what finally pushed her to cut things off… even though she says Sharpe just wouldn’t let go.

“That ‘No’ Means No”: Lawsuit Spells Out Abuse, Rape, And Hidden Videos

On the very first page of the lawsuit, she hits us with this:

“A woman can say ‘yes’ to consensual sexual relations with a man ninety-nine times, but
when she says ‘no’ even once, that ‘no’ means no.”

She goes on to say Sharpe wasn’t tryna hear that no. The complaint says the ESPN host—who’s used to being the loudest voice in the room—straight up refused to accept that the relationship was done. Worse, the lawsuit accuses him of doing the unthinkable: recording them having sex without her knowing, and sharing those videos without her permission. And if you remember his little IG Live slip-up? That might just be backing her claims up.

Here’s another direct quote from the lawsuit that’s got people gasping:

“Defendant Shannon Sharpe, a man who is accustomed to getting what he wants, completely fails to understand this basic concept. After many months of manipulating and controlling Plaintiff — a woman more than thirty years younger than he — and repeatedly threatening to brutally choke and violently slap her, Sharpe refused to accept the answer no and raped Plaintiff, despite her sobbing and repeated screams of ‘no.’”

Sharpe’s Accuser Lawyered Up With Tony Buzbee, And He Ain’t No Lightweight

The woman behind the lawsuit isn’t playing. She’s being represented by Micah Nash and Tony Buzbee—the same dude who’s known for taking on high-profile, heavy-hitter cases like the Deshaun Watson mess. That alone should tell you she’s coming for blood.

So far, Sharpe and his team have been quiet—no public statement, no Instagram clapback, nothing. But with his name trending and this case heating up, it’s only a matter of time before he’s forced to respond.
