Shannon Sharpe Accuser Drops Alleged Audio Bombshell
Welp, things are not looking good for Shannon Sharpe. While he’s still tryna clear his name, the NFL legend just got hit with some heavy receipts that could flip this whole narrative.
In the newly surfaced audio clip, his ex-girlfriend—who’s suing him for rape—claims the Pro Football Hall of Famer can be heard threatening her life. Yeah, it’s that serious.
The recording, obtained by Jane Doe’s attorney Tony Buzbee and sent to TMZ Sports, allegedly captures a heated exchange between the two. During the argument, Sharpe reportedly snapped and said:
“If you say that word one more time, I’m going to f***ing choke the s*** out of you when I see you.”
Shocked, the woman responds:
“I don’t want to be choked.”
But Sharpe—allegedly—ain’t back down:
“Yes, you do. I don’t think you have a choice in the matter.”
Buzbee doesn’t think that was flirty back-and-forth:
“The contents of this clip are certainly not sexual. They are not playful. They are instead disturbing, aggressive, and dangerous.”
He added that the audio “paints a very clear picture of how Sharpe treated Jane Doe, leading her to escape from him by leaving Nevada and blocking all contact with him.”
Sharpe’s Team Fights Back With Their Own Receipts
Right before this audio made headlines, Sharpe and his lawyer tried to flip the narrative.
His camp released a batch of text messages allegedly showing Jane Doe trying to run some extortion play. But Buzbee wasn’t havin’ it. He claimed Sharpe’s lawyer, Lanny J. Davis,
“attempted to discredit”
his client by
“releasing alleged texts from her that are obviously dated prior to the alleged assault.”
Translation? They tryna play dirty, but Buzbee says he got the timeline receipts to prove Sharpe’s narrative don’t hold up…
Where Does This Leave Shannon Sharpe Now?
In previous statements, Sharpe has made it known he feels this whole thing is a money grab. He straight-up called it:
“A blatant and cynical attempt to shake down Mr. Sharpe for millions of dollars.”
