Cardi B continues to be an avid supporter of Max B‘s music, despite the Coke Wave rapper having been behind bars for 15 years.

Taking to X on Tuesday (September 3), Cardi noted that the transition to fall weather had her in the mood to throw on some Biggaveli as well as Mary J. Blige.

“As soon as I feel that September NY breeze I start playin Max B and Mary J. Blige. Its like my pumpkin spice to my playlist,” she joked.

When a fan quipped that no one is still listening to Max, Cardi hit right back noting that she will continue playing the songs for years to come.

“Baby I will play the same 9 songs I like till my kids go to college….GZ UP NIKKA, HOES DOWN!!

Max B was previously expected to be freed last year following a substantial reduction to his initial 75-year sentence for armed robbery, kidnapping, aggravated assault and murder in 2009.

The Harlem native had his sentence substantially reduced to 20 years in 2016 after taking a plea deal, before announcing three years later that it had been further cut to 12 years.

In recent months, he has been teasing that he could be coming home, saying: “It’s almost over. Two more joints, n-gga, I’m sliding out. Max Bigavell. 45, I feel good, look good. I taste good, I smell good, n-gga.”

The rapper and producer also recently posted pictures of prison visits from his 14-year-old son Carter.

Carter said of his relationship with his father: “Even behind the wall, my pops taught me a lot. Not just my love for music, but my determination, my perseverance, will to love, and strength.

“I’m proud that I make him proud. ( U ain’t have to give me that ‘Proud of You’ sticker on the pic tho pops. I’m 14 now [sad emoji, crying emoji]) #FreeMaxB.”

In an April visit, longtime friend and collaborator French Montana shared a set of photos with the hashtag 2025 – indicating that Max will be released from prison next year.

The official date has yet to be confirmed, however.
