Ray J Claims Diddy Will Walk Free: “The Charges Are Weak”
R&B singer Ray J isn’t holding back when it comes to his opinion on Diddy’s ongoing legal drama. During a recent appearance on controversial YouTuber Sneako’s livestream, Ray J made it clear he believes the music mogul will beat the sex trafficking case that’s shaken the industry.
“Puffy ‘bout to get out too, on the dead homies, n-gga,” Ray J boldly declared.
Ray J doubled down on his belief that the prosecution doesn’t have a strong case. “Puffy getting out. All that shit they’re trying to charge that n-gga for is nonsense, bro. He did something bad that we all seen and that shit’s unacceptable, but that’s not what the charges are for. The charges are weak, and it’s not funny and it’s not okay.”
From Outrage to Uncertainty: Ray J Flips His Tone on Diddy
Ray J’s words have shifted dramatically over the past few months. When Cassie first came forward in November 2023 with allegations of sexual assault and sex trafficking against Diddy, Ray J was one of the loudest voices condemning the Bad Boy founder. He called Diddy’s behavior toward Cassie “demonic” and said what many were thinking at the time.
But things started changing after a face-to-face run-in with Diddy’s sons at a Halloween party. That moment, according to several sources close to Ray J, made him reflect and step back from his previous stance.
On Cuomo with NewsNation in November, Ray started questioning the validity of the growing list of allegations: “Is any of it real? Or how much of it is real? I think that’s where we are now because they just keep piling on. Now everybody is starting to feel weird about it and it’s starting to look like it’s one-sided against one man, and people aren’t liking it.”
Ray J Questions the “Freak Off” Allegations: “What Does That Really Mean?”
Ray J didn’t just defend Diddy in general terms — he addressed one of the more shocking parts of the case: the “freak offs.” Prosecutors described them as wild sex parties involving prostitutes and drugs, orchestrated for Diddy’s personal entertainment.
Ray wasn’t buying that narrative completely: “I think that there might have been times where people have partied with a certain team of people and there might have been a ‘freak off,’ right? But I can guarantee you, most of the celebrities that went to Diddy’s parties never even heard of a ‘freak off.’
He added: “Everybody that’s super legitimate, that’s an A-List celebrity, from my knowledge — I just know that I have never seen a ‘freak off’ — what does that really mean? Is that really real? Are we creating a new narrative for something that’s not there? Was there really dope in the baby oil? What are we doing?”
