Sean “Diddy” Combs Reportedly Refuses Plea Deal In Federal Case

Sean “Diddy” Combs made a bold move today, rejecting a plea deal in his explosive federal racketeering and sex trafficking case, according to prosecutors in New York.

Diddy’s Trial Still Set To Begin In May After Request To Delay His Trial By 2 Months Was Denied

Prosecutor Madison Smyser broke the news during a hearing earlier this morning. Smyser didn’t reveal what kind of deal Diddy turned down, but the fact that an offer was even on the table shows how heavy the pressure is getting.

Combs has already pleaded not guilty to the five serious charges against him. Prosecutors allege that he used threats, violence, and intimidation to force women into “Freak Offs” — wild, sex-fueled gatherings that have been at the center of this case.

Judge Rules Shocking Cassie Video Will Be Allowed In Trial

In another major blow for Diddy’s defense, Judge Arun Subramanian also denied his team’s motion to block that bombshell hotel video — the same one showing him violently attacking his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, back in 2016.

That ruling clears the way for prosecutors to show jurors the chilling footage, despite Diddy’s lawyers arguing that the video was edited and shouldn’t be trusted.

For context, the video shows Combs hitting Ventura and dragging her by the hair down a hotel hallway. The clip shook the internet when it leaked, sparking outrage and fresh scrutiny on the music mogul.

Diddy didn’t dodge accountability when speaking on the footage, either. In a raw and emotional statement, he said:

“I was fucked up. I mean, I hit rock bottom. But I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in this video. They’re disgusting. I was disgusted then when I did it, I’m disgusted now. I went and I sought professional help. I’ve been going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry, but I’m committed to being a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I am truly sorry.”

Cassie Ventura To Testify; Trial Timeline Locked In

Adding even more weight to the upcoming trial, Cassie Ventura is set to testify — and she’s doing it under her real name, not anonymously.

That’s a major move, especially given the graphic nature of the accusations and the national spotlight surrounding the case.

Jury selection is locked in to kick off on May 5, and opening statements are scheduled for May 12. Once things get rolling, the courtroom drama is expected to stretch out for eight to ten weeks, meaning this summer could be full of non-stop headlines about Diddy’s future hanging in the balance.
