Oop! Miley Cyrus is shutting down any family feud rumors as she breaks her silence on her mother Tish Cyrus unfollowing her after the singer reunited with her father Billy Ray Cyrus.

While taking to her Instagram Stories on Saturday (May 10), Miley Cyrus said:
“I rarely comment on rumors, but my mama and I are too tight for anything to ever come between us. She’s my best friend. Like a lot of moms, she doesn’t know how to work her phone and somehow unfollowed me — simple, coincidental, and uninteresting.”
Miley continued to dispel feud rumors involving her mother Tish Cyrus and her father Billy Ray Cyrus. She said:
“My dad and I have had our challenges over the years. Now, in my thirties, family is my priority above all else. I’m at peace knowing bridges have been built and time has done a lot healing. Grateful for the good health and love that flows through my family.”

Miley Cyrus’ post arrives after social users noticed that her mother Tish unfollowed her. A source told Page Six, “it was a glitch” and there was “no drama.” Although it appears they were right, social users were quick to speculate that Tish was upset over her daughter reuniting with her father Billy Ray Cyrus to celebrate her brother Braison Cyrus’ 31st birthday.
A photo went viral on Instagram showing Billy Ray posing with his son, Miley, and her boyfriend, Maxx Morando. Days following the reunion, Billy Ray posted a video of Miley singing. He captioned the post, “Can’t wait to see this young lady.”

According to Page Six, the Cyrus family has been in the middle of years-long family feud rumors ever since Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus divorced in 2022. At the time, a source told E! News, “[The split] put a strain on [Miley’s] relationship with her dad.”
Not helping clear the rumors, Miley notably excluded her father Billy Ray Cyrus from her acceptance speech after winning “Record of the Year” at the Grammys for her 2023 hit “Flowers.”

That same year, Tish Cyrus married ‘Prison Break’ star Dominic Purcell — which did not go over well with Tish’s daughter Noah Cyrus. Reportedly, Noah and Dominic were seeing each other when “Tish started pursuing him,” according to US Weekly. However, the mother and daughter have since appeared to have reconciled.
Meanwhile, Billy Ray Cyrus also remarried. He tied the knot with singer Firerose that same year. However, they divorced in 2024. He’s since moved on with actress Elizabeth Hurley.
