Skai Jackson is standing up for herself and her son. According to a report by TMZ, the former Disney star has filed for a restraining order against her child’s father, Deondre Burgin.
The restraining order was filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, and Skai didn’t hold back when it came to detailing the violent behavior she says she endured. According to court docs obtained by the news outlet, the latest incident happened on Mother’s Day. Skai was holding their 3-month-old baby, Kasai, when Deondre allegedly pulled her by her hair, slammed her head against a car window, and punched her in the face.
But the violence didn’t start there. Skai claims this abusive behavior was part of a six-month pattern in 2024. From breaking her phones and tearing up her furniture to physical assaults that left her traumatized, she said it was an ongoing nightmare behind closed doors.
And it gets even more disturbing.

In one of the most chilling parts of her court declaration, Skai claimed Deondre told her to drink bleach while she was pregnant with their son. She said he even held her at knifepoint and threatened to stab her in the stomach while she was trying to get to her car and escape. That’s not just abuse.. that’s attempted murder in the eyes of many.
As many are aware, Skai had been trying to protect him despite everything. Even when he got caught saying wild things about her online and blamed it on being “hacked,” she and her mom defended him publicly.
But this time, she’s done. She’s got receipts too. She says she has video footage to back up some of her claims.
As heartbreaking as this all sounds, this isn’t Burgin’s first brush with the law. Matter of fact, when Skai gave birth in January, Deondre was locked up, serving a 90-day sentence for violating his parole. And just last month, he was arrested again for an outstanding warrant.
So while these current allegations are new to the public, his legal issues have been stacking up for a minute now. And now, with the world watching, people are wondering how this will all play out in court.
At the time of publishing, Burgin hasn’t released any statements, and no legal reps have commented on his behalf.
