Jamie Foxx Breaks His Silence On Diddy Conspiracy Rumors After Health Scare
Jamie Foxx is finally speaking out after months of silence — and he’s shutting down the wildest rumors with style and wit. The Oscar-winning actor and singer cleared the air about conspiracy theories that tied Sean “Diddy” Combs to his mysterious 2023 hospitalization.
During a candid conversation with fellow comedians for The Hollywood Reporter, Foxx got real about the speculation that spiraled while he was recovering from what doctors called a near-fatal stroke. He revealed he was sedated, hazy, and clinging to his phone for answers when he stumbled across some wild accusations.
“So, they ‘Men in Black’-ed me, and I’m f—ed up, and this isn’t funny, but I snuck in my phone because I didn’t know what the outside world was saying, and I couldn’t get my mind around the fact that I had a stroke,” Foxx said. “I’m in f—ing perfect shape. [I see things like,] ‘Puffy tried to kill me.’ No, Puffy didn’t try to kill me.”
Foxx’s name was being thrown around in online circles, accused of knowing too much about Combs — especially in light of Diddy’s 2024 arrest on serious racketeering and sex trafficking charges.
But Foxx, who once partied and joked alongside Diddy, brushed off the claims with humor. In fact, he even touched on it during his December comedy special.
“The Internet said Puffy was trying to kill me, that’s what the Internet was saying. I know what you’re thinking, ‘Diddy?’ Hell no, I left them parties early. I was out by 9, something don’t look right. It’s slippery in here.”

As if the “Diddy tried to kill me” mess wasn’t enough, Foxx says what really got to him were the clone rumors. Yep — people were out here claiming the real Jamie was gone and replaced with a lookalike. And Foxx? He wasn’t having it.
“When they said I was a clone, that made me flip. I’m sitting in the hospital bed, like, ‘These b—–a– motherf—ers are trying to clone me,’” he told The Hollywood Reporter.
He continued with a hilarious story about what his medicated mind conjured up while he was in recovery.
“And then I saw me walk into my room, but I’m white, so I see the white me. The next morning, I said, ‘I know what’s up, you’re trying to clone me and make me white so I’ll sell better overseas.’ The psychiatrist says, ‘Are you all right?’ And I say, ‘Am I all right or am I all white? I saw you trying to get the white motherf—ing Jamie Foxx and it ain’t going to happen.’ He just calmly goes, ‘I think we’re going to lower your dosage.’”
Foxx’s humor may be wild, but the story points to something deeper — his fight to hold on to his identity, voice, and sanity through one of the scariest health moments of his life.
