Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good have recently become the subjects of a false rumor regarding their relationship status, but the actress’s representative has stepped forward to clarify the situation.
In a statement to TMZ, the rep made it clear, “They are not broken up. In fact, they will be attending the Ebony 100 Gala together.” So, where did this rumor about their relationship status cole from? Well, according to the news site, it all began when a guest on “The Rickey Smiley Morning Show” claimed that the couple had called it quits. Clearly, this was nothing as they are still going strong.
Earlier this year, Majors revealed just how strong their relationship was back in July when he responded with a definitive “yes” when asked if he planned to propose to Good.
In June, the couple also showcased their affection for one another at the Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards. While accepting the Perseverance Award, Majors delivered a heartfelt message to his beloved partner. “I love you, I love you beyond all limit,” he said through tears while on stage. “With all my strength, with all my heart, I love you. You done carried me so, so, so, so many nights.”
Majors has also praised and credited Meagan with being an essential support system during his legal challenges, even after a jury found him guilty in his domestic violence trial.
“I’m really blessed. I’m surrounded by people who love me, who care about me. But this has been very, very, very hard and very difficult and confusing in many ways,” Majors shared with journalist Linsey Davis in an ABC News special back in January. “Everything has kinda gone away. And it’s just me now, you know, and my lovely, you know, partner, Meagan [Good], and my dogs,” he added.
