Carrie Underwood has released a statement after news broke earlier today of her performing at Donald Trump’s upcoming inauguration.

In a statement released to Variety, Underwood shared how excited she is to take on the task. “I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the Inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event,” Underwood said to the news outlet. “I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future.”

Underwood, who skyrocketed to fame after snagging the “American Idol” crown back in 2005, is set to deliver a rendition of “America the Beautiful” right before Trump takes the oath on January 20. She’ll be joined by the Armed Forces Chorus and the United States Naval Academy Glee Club.

Before he stepped into the Oval Office in 2017, Trump threw down a concert at the Lincoln Memorial featuring acts like Toby Keith, 3 Doors Down, and Lee Greenwood. Jackie Evancho, a standout from “America’s Got Talent,” took the stage to belt out the national anthem during the swearing-in ceremony.

Now, Trump’s inaugural celebration is kicking off this Saturday at his golf club in Sterling, Virginia, just about an hour from D.C., as announced by the inaugural committee on Monday.

On Sunday, he’ll pay a visit to Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia, followed by a rally at Capital One Arena in D.C. to connect with his supporters. Later that night, he’s got a candlelight dinner lined up.

Inauguration Day will start with a church service and a tea at the White House with President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden before Trump takes the oath. Expect a parade rolling down Pennsylvania Avenue and three inaugural balls to keep the energy alive.

The Village People, known for their classic “Y.M.C.A.” that’s become a fixture at Trump events, announced on Facebook Monday that they’re all in to perform at the inaugural festivities, including at least one event with the President-Elect.
