LeBron James turned a young girl’s tears of excitement into tears of joy during Wednesday night’s Lakers Vs Heat game in Los Angeles. The game was electric, with the Lakers clinching a thrilling 117-108 victory over the Miami Heat, but it was the special interaction between LeBron and a devoted young fan that truly stole the show.
As the game unfolded, a little girl, proudly donning her No. 23 Lakers jersey, found herself overwhelmed with emotion while watching her idol play right in front of her. The thrill of being so close to the basketball legend was too much to bear, and she couldn’t help but let out a few tears. But super compassionate superstar, decided to turn her tears into a moment she will never forget.
During a break in the action, LeBron waved to the young fan, instantly lighting up her face with a smile that outshone the arena lights. After the final buzzer rang and the game concluded, he took the time to step off the court and seek her out. LeBron spent a few precious moments with her, and even snapped a pic.
The father for three explained, “I have a little girl myself back home, so I made sure that I went over and chopped it up with her after the game,” James said. “I gave her one of my ‘I Promise’ bands and took a picture with her. I believe that was her sister as well, I’m not sure, but could be her sister or friend.
He continued, “Took a picture with them and I think it will be something that hopefully she will never forget. I’m happy to be a part of her life now. That small moment was such a bigger moment.” He went on to joke, “She got the upper hand on some of her classmates that might’ve said some bad things about her in the past,” James said. “So, they can’t say anything now.”
